Date: 12 September 2015                                                                                                                          Time: 10 am
Place:  Breakfast at the Grubstake in Atlantic City, WY

One new member was introduced. Welcome!
Karen read the minutes from the last meeting, one minor change was made, motion made, accepted and carried to accept updated minutes.

Deb gave the financial report. A motion was made, carried and accepted. Deb then read correspondence received from the Atlantic City Historical Society. They thanked us for our $100 donation and asked which we preferred the money go to. They are in the process of making a table book to celebrate the 150th anniversary, which monies could be used  or for the general fund. It was the overall feeling of the club that it was up to the historical society to determine how those funds are best used and not up to us.

Deb & Janiece, who both attended the Historical Society outing, shared how it went.  Both agreed that there’s a ton of rich history of the area. They also both felt that the WPA should be more involved in the society. A motion was made that we contact Pam Hockett and invite her to be a guest speaker perhaps during one of our meetings. The motion was carried and accepted. It was speculated that all the information shared during the outing might be posted on the society's website so we’ve included that website address  here in case you might be interested: http://www.minersdelightinn.com/AtlanticCityHistoricalSociety.htm

Glenn Lansberry was then asked to share with the club how the Green River Festival event went. Fun was certainly had all around. We sold quite a few items and gleaned 6 new members from the event. Deb shared the financial breakdown, overall it was a success in that regard as well.  There were quite a few folks that he wanted thank for all their efforts making this event such a great success. From classifying dirt, setup, take down, carrying water (and soda), Panners, Sales, Demonstrations, Fairway barking...They are: Randy Hutchison, Mike O’Conner, Glen Lansberry Jr, Gary Shipper, Jim Harden, Penny Harden, Rich Bus, Marc Drury, Larry Barney, Misty Lansberry, Trevor Lansberry, Glenn Lansberry Sr, Deb Palmer, Les Armstrong, Janiece Robinson & Blake Barney. Great job!!! Thanks everyone!  Glenn also  took a moment to shout out a huge thank you to Steve Atkinson for all the help he provided hiding coins for the annual outing metal detecting class.

Karen brought up the need for the club to have a laptop for the secretary to use for club business.  She found a Chromebook which would fill that need for under $400.  A motion was made, accepted and carried to make the purchase.

Deb shared with the club and offer Jim Hensley made, wanting to sell his 110 acre claim located between Mud Pie & Strawberry Creek to the club for $2000, 4 hats and 4 lifetime memberships. Questions were raised by members regarding reclamation. The club decided to table this issue until further information is  provided. Motion made, accepted and carried.

Les reported on some serious issues with Strawberry Creek and Mud Pie. They are not viable at this time, we’ll keep you updated. Randy has turned in all paperwork to the BLM, and reports everything is good to go.

Deb then brought up the need for an additional board member. Glenn Lansberry nominated Richard Buss from Lander, Richard agreed to give it a go. The club decided to have the next meeting at Mitch's in Farson on November 14th, lunch at noon with meeting to follow at 1pm, weather permitting, watch the WPA website.

Jim asked if he could purchase the club's old computer from the club for $50.   A motion was made, accepted and carried.

Meeting adjourned 10:52

Karen Schroeder, Secretary
