Sept. 9, 2006

Vice President, Randy Hutchison called the September meeting of the WPA to order at 5:25 p.m. at the Dredge.

There were 4 members of the board in attendance.

Secretary, Kimberlee Raymond read the minutes from the August meeting.  As there were no corrections to be made, motions were made and carried to accept minutes as read.

Treasurer, Deb Palmer read the treasurers report to date.  She reported bills paid and deposits made.  Motions were made and carried to accept report as read.

CLAIMS COMMITTEE:

Jim Hinesley report that the Mary D4 will be opening on Willow Creek. A map will be available on the web site soon.

There is now a "Claims Usage" report available on the web site.  We ask that you please fill one of these out when prospecting on club claims via the web site or mail and send to Jim Hinesley for use in assessment work each year on the claims.  If you have any questions, please contact Jim Hinesley or Randy Hutchison.

***JUST A NOTE TO ALL. IF USING CLUB CLAIMS AND YOU PACK TRASH IN, BE KIND AND PACK IT BACK OUT SO OTHERS DON'T HAVE TO DO IT FOR YOU!****

Also, a short note on the LUCKY 4 US claim.  Due to the removal of excess amounts of dirt, we ask that any prospecting on this claim must be done on site via self contained sluices, dry washers or panning.  If there keeps showing signs of more material being removed from the site, this claim will possibly be close to club use at a later date.

RAFFLE COMMITTEE:

Randy is still working on the necklace issue and we will keep you posted as to the status of the raffle.
We also had a porcelain painting donated by Rock Springs resident Cheryl Croy.  Beautiful picture!, many thanks to her.

Randy also reported that there has been some discussion on claims leasing.  PLP will advise local mining company and keep all advised.

OLD BUSINESS:

Club trailer is done and stored for the winter.  Also, the claims post groups did get a few posts set with the weather not playing in our favor.

NEW BUSINESS:

Motions were made and carried to for go the November club meeting due to oncoming winter weather.  Should the weather be favorable, the board will call a meeting together and let club members know where to meet.

Next meeting will be January 13, 2007 @  Randy Hutchisons home at 1:00 p.m.  Should we have unfavorable weather for this one, the board will notify of cancellation.

Meeting adjourned at 6:10 p.m.

50/50 raffle was won by Rosemary Blair of Lander.  Congrats to her.

Club raffle was held and congratulations to all who won and all who attended.
