MARCH 11, 2006 

PRESIDENT RANDY CALLED THE MARCH WPA MEETING TO ORDER AT 1:15 P.M.  AT THE ANDERSON TRUCKING SHOP IN ROCK SPRINGS, WY. 

INTRODUCTIONS WERE MADE, AS THERE WERE MANY NEW FACES PRESENT.

KIMBERLEE READ THE MINUTES FROM THE SEPTEMBER 2005 MEETING. MINUTES APPROVED AS READ MOTIONS MADE AND CARRIED.

DEB PALMER READ THE TREASURERS REPORT OF BILLS PAID AND DEPOSITS MADE. MOTION WERE MADE AND CARRIED TO APPROVE REPORT AS READ.

CORRESPONDENCE:  WE RECEIVED A THANK YOU FROM THE SALVATION ARMY AS WELL AS THE RED CROSS FOR OUR DONATIONS DURING THE KATRINA RECOVERY.

SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS TO DAN HAUSEL FOR BEING NOMINATED AS "2006 MAN OF SCIENCE".

COMMITTEES:

BOARD MEETINGS FROM THE WINTER WERE DISCUSSED BY RANDY HUTCHISON.

CLAIMS COMMITTEE: NOTHING TO REPORT AS TOO MUCH SNOW TO DO ANYTHING.

COOKER COMMITTEE: CLUB WAS APPROACHED WITH MOTION TO BUILD COOKER FROM SCRATCH AS IT WOULD BE EASIER AND COST EFFICIENT.  MOTION WAS MADE AND CARRIED TO BUILD FROM SCRATCH. 

EQUIPMENT COMMITTEE: NONE AVAILABLE AS SCOTT LUERS ABSENT.

CLUB ANNUAL OUTING SET FOR JUNE 23RD THRU JUNE 25TH, 2006 AT BIG ATLANTIC GULCH. (SAME AS LAST YEAR)

OUTING COMMITTEE:  RANDY HUTCHISON WILL CHAIR THE OUTING COMMITTEE.  ANY VOLUNTEERS FOR HELPING WITH THIS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

JACKIE SCHMIDT AND DEB PALMER WILL AGAIN TAKE CARE OF THE FOOD.

LOCKERS AND THE WILLENBRECHT'S WILL TAKE CARE OF THE PORTA-JOHNS.

JIM HINESLEY WILL TAKE CARE OF SITE SET-UP.

LES ARMSTRONG  WILL SET UP THE TREASURE HUNT AND HAUL OFF THE TRASH.

KEITH AND ROSEMARY BLAIR WILL SET UP THE LOCATION SIGNS.

CARL ANDERSON WILL LOCATE DIRT FOR THE OUTING.

A SPECIAL THANKS TO RUSS & JOE SIMS,  FOR THEIR DONATION OF THE SHAKER TABLE THAT WILL BE TAKEN TO ATLANTIC CITY BY CARL ANDERSON AND ANY VOLUNTEERS TO MOVE IT.

RAFFLE COMMITTEE:  WE AGAIN HAVE NO VOLUNTEERS - ANYONE WISHING TO HELP, PLEASE CALL A BOARD MEMBER.
KEITH WILL DO SOME CHECKING ON SOME VACATION PACKAGES TO BE RAFFLED OFF. 
KIM RAYMOND WILL ALSO BE GETTING A HAND MADE BED QUILT TO BE RAFFLED OFF.

OLD BUSINESS: 

POINT SYSTEM HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED.
10 POINT FOR EACH 20 ACRE CLAIM
5 POINTS PER CLAIM FOR ANY AGENT.

AFTER A DISCUSSION, MOTION WAS MADE AND CARRIED THAT WPA WOULD NOT BE ATTENDING THE  WYOMING OUTDOORS SHOW IN CASPER WY THIS YEAR DUE TO DECREASED INTEREST AND NOT COST EFFECTIVE FOR THE CLUB.

DAY IN THE PARK (JULY 8, 2006) DISCUSSION TABLED FOR LATER DATE.

NEW BUSINESS:  RANDY READ AN ARTICLE ON PROSPECTING AND SOME OF THE ISSUES WE ARE DEALING WITH.  THERE WILL BE A MEETING IN SPOKANE WASHINGTON AT THE ANNUAL GPAA OUTDOOR SHOW. WE DISCUSSED THE BENEFITS THIS WOULD HAVE FOR SOMEONE ATTENDING THIS MEETING ON BEHALF OF WYOMING PROSPECTORS AND IT WAS VOTED THAT VICE PRESIDENT SCOTT LUERS WOULD GO AND REPRESENT WYOMING.  MOTIONS WERE MADE AND CARRIED THAT THE CLUB WOULD FUND SCOTT  FOR THIS TRIP.

MOTION MADE AND CARRIED TO PAY THE PUBLIC LANDS FOR THE PEOPLE YEARLY DUES.

NEXT MEETING WILL BE APRIL 8TH, 2006 AT 1:00 P.M. AT THE DREDGE.
BRING POT-LUCK.
MEETING WAS ADJOURNED AT 2:35 P.M.

RAFFLE WAS HELD AND CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL WHO WON.  THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO BROUGHT FOOD FOR THE MEETING AND THANKS TO CARL ANDERSON FOR LETTING THE CLUB USE HIS SHOP.
