6-14-08 President, Scott Luers called the June meeting of the WPA to order at 12:20 p.m. at the Miner's Grubstake. Introductions were made as there were many faces present. Secretary, Kimberlee Raymond read the minutes from the May meeting. As there were no corrections. motions were made and carried to accept the minutes as read. Treasurer, Deb Palmer read the treasurers report. She reported bills paid and deposits made. Motions were made and carried to accept minutes as read. Claims Committee: Nothing new, just getting access to them. National News: Nothing new. Correspondence: Deb has a letter from the PLP on "Suggested Challenge Procedures" should you be confronted and questioned about your intent. We can make a copy if anyone would like one. Reclamation Committee: We have started filling in the hole on Yankee so we can dig another. Old Business: Board meeting was held and we have tabled the advertising issue for now.. Day in the Park- Still a go, again volunteers welcome. July 12th, 2008 Set up 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. and show from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Outing- To be held in same location as last year, on Rock Creek. Map to location is attached. As this is private property, please respect the land. IF YOU PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT! The club will provide the meat for the Saturday evening meal, please bring a cover dish to add to the meal. IF THIS IS A SPECIAL DISH, PLEASE BRING THE RECIPE FOR THE BOOK! We will start dinner around 4:00 p.m. PLEASE NOTE: When setting your campers -please be aware
of the area that is flagged off and do not crowd this area as this is the
main eating/meeting area. The following is a list of volunteers for the
outing: Dave Locker and Bill Willenbrecht will deliver outhouse
which we found will only cost the club 2 yearly memberships! OFFICER ELECTIONS WILL BE AT THE OUTING! PLEASE VOLUNTEER FOR AN OFFICE TO GIVE THE CURRENT MEMBERS A BREAK. Also, on Saturday at 1:00, we will have a demonstration on surface imaging. If you have any rocks you wish to have assayed, please bring them. New Business: Motions were made and carried to check on pricing to have the north line of the Amanda 28 surveyed to establish boundaries. Motions were made to check into pricing on static/bumper stickers. This will be discussed at the board meeting as well. There will be a tour of the Clarissa gold mine again this year. It is scheduled for July 19th, 2008. Meet at the South Pass fee entrance at 9:45 and the tour will begin at 10:00 a.m. There will be a $1.00 donation requested. at the outing on Rock Creek. The 50/50 raffle was won by John Sharp, congratulations. Club raffle had 25 prizes, 4 of which were gold vials,
