June 10, 2006 After what turned out to be a fairly good day of prospecting, President Randy Hutchison called the June meeting of the Wyoming Prospectors to order at 3:22 p.m. Introductions were made as there were many new faces present. Secretary, Kimberlee Raymond read the minutes from the May Prospectors meeting. As there were no corrections necessary, motions were made and minutes were approved as read. Treasurer, Deb Palmer read the treasurers report. There were bills paid and deposits made. Motions were made and the report was approved as read. COMMITTEE REPORTS: Vice president Scott Luers reported there was nothing
new on the trip to Washington. He has received e-mails from Equal Access
to Justice on issues currently in litigation. He did also say the club
was in the position to obtain a non-profit status meaning the club would
be able to receive donations from outside organizations. Cooker committee- aside from being painted, the cooker is complete and works great. Les Armstrong did a terrific job. Our many compliments to him. Claims committee- nothing new to report. NEW BUSINESS: Due to the work completed and his time put into the cooker, the club unanimously voted and extended a life-time membership to Les Armstrong. Congratulations! It is that time of year!!! As there were no other candidates, Presidential nominee was Les Armstrong. Vice presidential nominees were Randy Hutchison (current President) and Robert Jones of Fort Bridger. Secretarial nominee was Kimberlee Raymond. Treasurer nominees were Deb Palmer (current treasurer) and Scott Luers (current Vice president). Due to there being more than 1 nominee for vice president and treasurer, you will find a voting ballet attached to this newsletter. All ballots must be returned by the time of the outing. You may also bring them to the outing with you as elections will be held then. Next meeting will be held June 24th, 2006 after the outing evening meal. Again, please remember your ballots as well as a side dish for the main meal. Meeting was adjourned at 5:00 p.m. The winner of the June 50/50 drawing was Jim Rutter, congratulations. |
