Regular Meeting Minutes
September 9, 2023
The meeting was called to order at 9:31 a.m. at the intersection of Dickinson Ave. and Atlantic City Rd. by the county road equipment.
Officers present were: Jim Brines (President), Shawn Raymond (Vice President), and Deb Palmer (Board Member). There were 15 members and 1 guest at the meeting.
Deb Palmer read the meeting minutes from the August 12, 2023 meeting. Shawn Raymond motioned to accept the minutes as read. Paula Jones seconded the motion. All ayes; motion passed.
Deb Palmer read the treasurer’s report. Paula Jones motioned to accept the treasurer’s report as read. Shawn Raymond seconded the motion. All ayes; motion passed.
Correspondence: There was no correspondence at this meeting. The Miner’s Journal and bank statement were given to Deb to take to Jacque.
Officer/Committee Reports: Nothing at this time.
Old Business:
Claim Corner Posts: There was discussion about claim corner posts. There is no information on any work done at this time. Randy said the Amanda 26 is missing 3 corner posts. Several members (Chip, Randy, and Les) have some T-posts and PVC pipe to donate.
BLM Rules: Randy Hutchison talked with Mel Gustin about the BLM rules.
New Business:
Deb mentioned that she visited Joyce Raymond and let her know we are all thinking of them during this rough time.
Deb thanked Jacque for all of her extra work, filling in as secretary, but announced that we still need a secretary.
Les Armstrong still has the 2 extra camp chairs from the annual outing. If these might be yours, you can call him at 307-856-5140 to get them back.
The next meeting will be at the Wind River Heritage Center in Riverton on November 11, 2023. There will be a potluck lunch at 12:00 p.m., followed by the meeting at 1:00 p.m. If you can’t make it to the meeting, we will have a Zoom meeting set up, look for the link in your email, or on Facebook.
Paula Jones won the 50/50 raffle. Our visitor won several things in the big raffle, and the gold!
The meeting was adjourned at 9:52 a.m.
